Hello!
I'm Dr. McKinzie, a licensed clinical psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist with a rare dual expertise — one that bridges clinical practice and the world of schools, giving families a provider who sees the full picture.
Based in St. Charles, MO, I serve children, adolescents, and families in person and via telehealth across PSYPACT-participating states.

Background and Mission
A different kind of Child Psychologist
"Every child has the capacity to grow. They just need someone who sees them clearly — and knows how to help."
Dr. McKinzie earned her BA from Lindenwood University before completing her MA and PhD in Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia — one of the country's leading programs at the intersection of clinical care and education.
That dual training shaped everything about how she practices. When she evaluates a child, she isn't just administering tests — she's building a complete picture of how that child thinks, learns, and feels, and what that means for their life at school, at home, and in the world.
As the founder of Minds in Progress, Dr. McKinzie created a practice where families don't have to navigate a fragmented system. Evaluations, therapy, parent coaching, and school consultation are available in one place, from a provider who understands the full context.
She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to inclusive, culturally responsive care for every family she serves.
