Hello!
I'm Dr. McKinzie, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. With experience in clinical and school-based settings, I am passionate about bridging the gap between research, practice, and education to ensure that every child receives the support they need. My work is grounded in evidence-based, data-driven strategies tailored to each child’s unique needs.

With a strong background in special education, I collaborate with families, educators, and schools to provide meaningful support for children facing academic, behavioral, mental health, and neurodevelopmental challenges. My goal is to equip clients, families, and professionals with the knowledge, resources, and advocacy skills needed to foster success in and beyond the classroom.

I specialize in conducting neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations, determining special education eligibility, and developing individualized recommendations for accommodations and interventions. I also work closely with schools to design and implement effective support systems in literacy, mathematics, and behavior—ensuring students receive the tools necessary to succeed. At the heart of my work is a deep passion for helping individuals of all ages better understand their learning profiles and mental health needs.

Beyond my clinical practice, I have co-authored articles on academic skill development and assessment practices and book chapters on professional ethics in psychology. I actively contribute to the field by sharing best practices with educators and fellow psychologists at local and national conferences and by actively reviewing and publishing research.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, son, and dog, Ivy. You’ll often find me cooking, hiking, traveling, or repurposing furniture. My mission is simple: Guiding young minds and growing bright futures. I look forward to supporting you and your family on this journey!
