Evaluations
Now offering neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for ages 5 through adulthood! Our assessments provide a deeper understanding of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges, helping to identify learning differences, developmental delays, and mental health concerns.
Types of Evaluations
Attention - Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Have concerns regarding impulsivity, hyperactivity, distractedness, and/or executive functioning skills like completing tasks and following instructions?
For children and adults, this evaluation includes a comprehensive clinical intake interview and testing sessions designed to assess cognitive abilities, processing speed, memory, and attention. To better understand how these concerns impact daily functioning at home, school, or work, we also gather additional insights through parent, teacher, and self-report measures. These assessments help evaluate attention, executive functioning, behavior, and mood symptoms to guide individualized support and recommendations.
Autism Spectrum Disorder
This evaluation includes a comprehensive clinical intake interview and testing sessions designed to assess cognitive and developmental abilities, autism symptoms using the ADOS-II, and adaptive functioning. In addition, parent, teacher, and self-report measures are completed outside of the testing sessions to provide further insight into attention, behavior, and mood.

Testing may be conducted for an initial diagnosis or a re-evaluation to update symptomology, track progress, and support insurance or service eligibility.
Learning Disabilities / Psychoeducational
Depending on your child's needs, this evaluation focuses on identifying school-based strengths and areas that may benefit from targeted support and intervention. It includes a comprehensive clinical intake interview and testing sessions to assess cognitive abilities, academic skills (e.g., reading, writing, math), and adaptive functioning. Additionally, parent, teacher, and self-report measures are completed outside of testing sessions to provide further insight into attention, behavior, and mood.

This evaluation is commonly used to assess for learning differences such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia.
More!
In addition to the aforementioned areas, we also assess for anxiety and depression, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities and giftedness, as well as mood and behavioral disorders (e.g., Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder). Most evaluations are not just looking at one area and will be modified to meet each individual's needs.

Evaluations can offer valuable information regarding cognitive functioning, academic performance, social emotional functioning, and executive functioning skills.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the testing process look like?
-
Intake: During the intake interview, the clinician will gather information about your child's and family's background and presenting concerns to understand your questions better. This allows us to develop an initial testing plan. Depending on the child's age, this will most likely be completed only with the parents. Intake interviews usually take 1 hour and can be completed in person or virtually.
-
Testing: A separate session is held in a 1:1 environment with the child/client, where they will be asked to complete a series of activities. These activities can include play-based activities, pencil and paper activities, iPad activities, or other manipulatives. Testing usually takes 3-5 hours and may be split up across multiple days. The examiner may build in breaks and offer breaks throughout the testing session.
-
Feedback/Report: Once a report is ready, the clinician will contact you to schedule feedback. This usually occurs 2-4 weeks after the last piece of data is collected. This stresses the importance of timely completion of rating scales. Ocassionally, especially over summer, raters external to the family, may take longer to complete these rating scales. We will reach out to you if they are not completed within two weeks of the testing date so you can collaborate with these individuals.
